05.06: MATT ELLIOTT

Matt Elliott has rather an atypical course... He used to work under the pseudo The Third Eye Foundation - emblematic figure of the English electronic scene recognized for his atypical electro tinted by drum' N bass. Since his first album under his own name "The mess we made", Matt Elliott turns to compositions much more folk, forsaking the laptop and the machines - which go until disappearing, to return to more traditional instruments (guitar, piano, violin). [...] "Howling songs" is the magnificent third and last part to the "songs trilogy". Matt Elliott tem tido um percurso atípico... Com The Third Eye Foundation ganhou destaque na cena electrónica inglesa com um estranho electro de contornos drum n'bass. Mas foi já com o seu próprio nome que lançou "The mess we made", um disco já sem laptop e maquinaria, onde se respira o folk de instrumentos tradicionais como a guitarra, piano, e violino. "Howling songs" é já o terceiro disco da 'trilogia de canções' de cariz eslavónico, sem fronteiras precisas, e com raízes evidentes na tradição europeia.
